Motorcyclist Severely Injured in Sint-Huibrechts-Lille Crash

Sint-Huibrechts-Lille (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – A 55-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured on Sint-Antoniusweg, Sint-Huibrechts-Lille, near Pelt. Hano police and Limburg public prosecutors are investigating. Firefighters cleared the scene, and a traffic expert examined the accident.

As Nieuwsblad News reported, a 55-year-old motercyclist was severely injured on the afternoon of Friday, October 17, 2025, after failing to slow down for a vehicle while riding on Sint-Antoniusweg, Sint-Huybrechts-Lille near Pelt, Belgium. 

The accident occurred during the motorcyclist’s exit from Kolonies Street. Witnesses said it was a severe collision. Emergency services arrived on the scene promptly and transported the victim to the hospital by ambulance.

What caused recent serious accidents in Sint-Huibrechts-Lille?

Debris on the roadway was removed by the fire department, and the area was made clear. Hano police district officers secured the scene and conducted initial observations to help manage traffic and details of the crash.

The road was closed for several hours while a traffic expert assessed the scene. The public prosecutor’s office in Limburg was notified and launched an official investigation into the circumstances of the crash and possible fault.

On October 3, 2024, a serious crash occurred in Sint-Huibrechts-Lille. Two young men, aged 23 and from Pelt, died when their car went off a rural road between Kaulille and Sint-Huibrechts-Lille and struck a tree. Emergency services came quickly; however, the two men were reported dead at the scene.
