Zelenskyy Insists on Europe’s Inclusion in Russia-Ukraine Peace Talks

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen was not involved in the call with Trump, according to a Commission spokesperson on Thursday. However, she was “extensively debriefed by several EU leaders,” the spokesperson reported.

The Kremlin confirmed on Thursday that the two leaders intend to meet “in the coming days.”

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio remarked on Wednesday that after Special Envoy Steve Witkoff’s discussions with Putin, the U.S. government now has a clearer understanding of the circumstances under which Moscow would consider ending the war.

“We need to compare that to what the Ukrainians and our European allies, particularly the Ukrainians, are willing to agree to— and then assess how close we can bring these positions together,” Rubio told Fox Business.

“If we can align what the Ukrainians will accept and what the Russians will accept closely enough, then there’s a chance for the president to hold a meeting involving both Putin and Zelenskyy to attempt to resolve this,” Rubio stated.

This diplomatic effort follows Trump’s decision to increase pressure on Putin by imposing a new 25 percent tariff on India for purchasing Russian oil.

  1. Just what we need, more folks at the table—because nothing says peace like a crowded café full of politicians arguing over the last croissant. 🍵🥐

  2. Oh, brilliant! Because nothing says “peace” like a game of geopolitical chess involving everyone but the actual players. 🤷‍♂️ Who needs to talk directly when you can just pass notes between the school bullies? 😏

So, Zelenskyy wants Europe in the mix now, eh? Guess he finally figured out that ‘peace talks’ are just another excuse for a coffee break with a side of geopolitical drama. 😏☕️

Oh, splendid! Just what we need, a game of diplomatic charades featuring everyone but the main actors. Maybe next they’ll invite the local pub owner for his expert opinion on peace talks! 🍻

Oh great, let’s throw Europe into the mix like a chef tossing in extra salt—because what’s peace without a little added confusion, right? 😂

Typical, isn’t it? While Europe’s busy being “debriefed,” the real players are just chatting away like it’s a game of chess in the pub. 🍻 Good luck finding common ground when everyone’s got their own agenda—might as well serve tea and biscuits while they’re at it! ☕️

  7. Looks like everyone’s getting their knickers in a twist over peace talks while the rest of us are still trying to figure out who’s actually running the show. 🤔 Maybe we should just send in the Eurovision winners to sort it all out? 🎤✨
