European Countries Evacuate Citizens from Israel and Iran

Switzerland, Slovakia, and Bulgaria announced similar actions, while the U.K. is withdrawing embassy staff from Iran and offering flights out of Israel to citizens.

This withdrawal occurs amid intense diplomacy as European officials seek to defuse the deadly conflict.

Last week, Israel launched air strikes on Iran, targeting Tehran’s nuclear weapons program. This initiated a sustained ballistic exchange, now in its second week, with Iran responding to the Israeli attacks with missile volleys at Tel Aviv and other locations.

The U.S. has yet to decide whether it will strike targets in Iran and join the conflict alongside its Middle East ally, Israel.

Typical, isn’t it? Just when you thought your holiday in the sun was safe, the diplomats decide to play their own version of “The Amazing Race” – only this time, it’s all about getting out of Dodge! 🇪🇺✈️

Seems like Europe’s got its hands full playing the diplomatic game of musical chairs, while the real action’s happening back in the Middle East. Who knew evacuation could be the new trend for 2023? 😂✈️

Oh great, just what we needed—European countries playing hot potato with their citizens while the Middle East decides to throw a fireworks show. ✈️💥 Let’s hope they packed their sunscreen for the evacuation, because it sounds like a holiday gone horribly wrong! 😂

Oh brilliant, nothing says “let’s fix this mess” quite like packing your bags and hopping on a flight, eh? Who knew diplomacy was such a travel agency gig? ✈️🇪🇺
