Sint-Laureins – Authorities will reconstruct last week’s Sint-Laureins collision in which a 15-year-old boy was seriously injured, aiming to clarify the crash circumstances.
Two individuals were taken into custody on Saturday and again on Sunday.
The court hopes to have a better understanding of the events that transpired in Sint-Margriete on Friday, May 30 in the late afternoon through the reconstruction.
When the 15-year-old child wanted to blank”>purchase a vaporizer from the suspects, he and two other juveniles got into a brawl. The three children then ran away. Following them in their vehicle, the suspects struck the youngster before running him over once more.
The 15-year-old child, who was in imminent danger, is now healing after emerging from his coma. It is also said that he recalls everything.
Additional details will be released by the East Flanders, Belgium, Public Prosecutor’s Office as soon as possible on Friday morning.
What safety measures are being discussed to prevent similar accidents in Sint-Laureins?
Putting an emphasis on appropriate training, particularly for young or inexperienced drivers, which includes graduated licensing schemes and supervised driving practice to enhance hazard perception and curb unsafe conduct.
To discourage risky driving practices, police enforcement of speed limits, seat belt use, and prohibitions on distracted or intoxicated driving should be increased.
Lowering vehicle speeds and enhancing pedestrian safety by putting in traffic calming devices such raised intersections, chicanes, speed bumps, and improved signs.
To reduce points of confrontation between cars and vulnerable road users, safer intersections, separated bike lanes, pedestrian walkways, and crossings should be added.
Promoting safer attitudes and behaviors by educating the public on road safety, the value of seat belts, helmets, and responsible driving.

Reconstructing a crash that should’ve been avoided in the first place—classic Sint-Laureins! 🚗💨 Maybe we should just hand out helmets with the car keys at this rate, eh? 🤦♂️

Reconstructing a crash sounds like the new hit TV series in Sint-Laureins—who needs drama when you’ve got real-life reality shows playing out on the streets? 🤦♂️ Maybe next time, we could just hand out driving licenses with a side of common sense, eh? 😂

Not sure if reconstructing the crash scene is the best way to figure things out; maybe just asking the kids to reenact it on a stage would be cheaper and just as effective. 🤷♂️ Classic Belgium, always looking for answers in the most complicated ways, eh?

Reconstructing a crash to figure out why a kid got steamrolled by a couple of clowns? Brilliant use of our tax euros, mate! 🥳 Just what Sint-Laureins needed – a live-action reenactment of the local comedy show!

Seems like Sint-Laureins decided to turn a teen’s unfortunate encounter into a live-action game of “Who’s the Worst Driver?” 🚗💥 Let’s just hope the reconstruction is less of a circus than the actual crash!
