Russian Official Dismisses UK and EU Troop Presence in Ukraine as a Bluff

Moscow (Eurotoday) – Vladimir Rogov, Chairman of the Russian Civic Chamber commission on sovereignty, patriotic projects, and support for veterans, stated that the UK and EU nations’ announcement about moving to the “operational phase” of sending soldiers from the “coalition of the willing” to Ukraine is a bluff. He noted that this plan hinges on security guarantees from the U.S., according to Russian news agency TASS.

The statement about the operational details of introducing occupation troops into the post-Ukrainian space from the lips of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is essentially a bluff because he immediately stipulates that this is possible only with the support of the United States,

stated Chairman of the Russian Civic Chamber Vladimir Rogov.

He emphasized that sending third-country contingents into Ukraine would be unlawful and blank”>would be contrary to the principles of security and long-term peace, as reported by state-run media agency TASS.

I am convinced that the appearance of British, German, French and other foreign troops will make them a priority target for our army since they cannot have any legal mandate to operate in this territory,

the official added.

How does Russia view foreign troops in Ukraine?

A day earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the deployment of NATO soldiers under any flag and in any capacity on Ukrainian soil poses a threat to Russia. He asserted that Moscow would not allow such a move under any circumstances.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking at a press conference on March 13 following discussions with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, reaffirmed that Moscow supports proposals to halt hostilities in Ukraine, but only if they lead to lasting peace and address the root causes of the crisis.

On March 11, officials from the United States and Ukraine held discussions in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. After these talks, a joint statement was issued, confirming that Ukraine is willing to accept the US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire. In response, the US committed to lifting its delay in providing intelligence and resuming military assistance to Kyiv.

Oh, lovely! It seems Mr. Rogov has found a new calling as a magician, pulling “bluffs” out of thin air while simultaneously ignoring the fact that even the best illusionists need a solid audience – or should I say, a few allies? 🃏💼

Oh, right, because nothing says “I mean business” like a good ol’ game of bluff poker with lives on the line! If only they took ‘occupying’ as seriously as they take their tea breaks, eh? ☕️😏

Oh, of course, because nothing says “we’re serious” quite like calling your opponents’ military moves a bluff while simultaneously begging for a safety net from Uncle Sam. Classic diplomatic finesse, eh? 😂

Oh, splendid! Just what we need – a masterclass in poker face from Russia. Next, they’ll be telling us that the tooth fairy is behind the whole Ukraine mess too. 😂
