Three Years After the Ukraine War, ‘Lost Childhood’ Exhibition Launches in Tirana

Today, the Europe House unveiled the exhibition titled “Lost Childhood.” Organized by the Ukraine Remembrance Platform in partnership with the families of the victims, this exhibition tells the heart-wrenching stories of over 20 young children who lost their lives amid the ongoing conflict.

This event commemorates three years since the onset of the war in Ukraine and serves as a platform to express solidarity with the nation.

Among the attendees were Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, European Union Delegation Ambassador Silvio Gonzato, and Ukrainian Ambassador Volodymyr Shkurov. Each speaker reflected on the profound effects of the war on its most innocent victims: the children of Ukraine.

Minister Hasani remarked that “the stories of over 20 children lost to the war are not only deeply saddening but also serve as a poignant reminder of the ongoing cruelty.”

He further stated, “This war in Ukraine highlights the vital importance of unity and solidarity—both within the EU and across our regions. It reaffirms the necessity of collaboration in upholding the principles that bind us.”

Ambassador Gonzato expressed, “We remain steadfast in our support for Ukraine’s fight against Russian aggression.”

He added, “Ukrainians have shown incredible resolve, standing firm not only for their freedom and territory but also for the core tenets of the international order. We will persist in supporting them in their pursuit of a just and sustainable peace. Slava Ukraini!”

Diplomatic Corps ambassadors, representatives, and notable figures from the cultural sector also attended the exhibition’s opening.

The “Lost Childhood” exhibition will be displayed at Europe House in Tirana until February 28. (February 25)

Ah, nothing like a heart-wrenching exhibition to remind us that while we sip our lattes in Europe, some kids are fighting for their lives instead of just waiting for the next Wi-Fi signal. 🎭 Let’s all gather ’round and get misty-eyed while we discuss solidarity—because, you know, that really fixes everything, doesn’t it? 🙄

Looks like we’ve found the perfect venue for a bit of European hand-wringing and heartfelt speeches—because who doesn’t love a good sob story about lost childhoods while sipping overpriced coffee in Tirana? 😏 At least it’s not just another weekend art fair, eh?

Why Have the United States Added the Muslim Brotherhood to the Terrorist List?

The United States’ recent classification of certain branches of the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorist organizations indicates a significant strategic change in Washington’s stance towards political Islam. Historically, the U.S. held a cautious and sometimes unclear position on the Brotherhood, founded in 1928 in Egypt by Hassan al-Banna. The group was alternately seen as an Islamist pol

At the UN drug commission in Vienna on 9 March 2026, Colombian President Gustavo Petro delivered a speech that sharply criticised prohibition and highlighted the social causes of coca cultivation in Colombia. However, the main takeaway from his address, and from Europe’s own policy discussion, is not that total legalization is the answer. It is that drug policy must evolve beyond false dichotomi
