Cairo (Eurotoday) – Egypt has condemned remarks by Israeli officials proposing the establishment of a Palestinian state on Saudi territory, calling them “irresponsible.”
Egypt’s foreign ministry stated that the remarks constituted a “direct infringement of Saudi sovereignty” and emphasized that Saudi security is a “red line for Egypt.”
The statement further described the proposal as “reprehensible aggression and an infringement of diplomatic norms.”
What did Netanyahu say about a Palestinian state in Saudi?
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently suggested that Palestinians could establish their state in Saudi Arabia rather than in their historical homeland. Speaking to Israeli Channel 14, he rejected the possibility of a Palestinian state within Palestine, citing it as a “security threat” to Israel. Netanyahu stated,
“The Saudis can create a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia; they have a lot of land over there.”
His remarks underscored his firm opposition to Palestinian sovereignty over their own territory.
What role does the Trump plan play in this debate?
Previously, former U.S. President Donald Trump had proposed that the U.S. take control of Gaza from Israel and develop it into a “Riviera of the Middle East,” while relocating Palestinians to other countries, including Egypt and Jordan.
This plan has faced strong opposition from Palestinians, who have vowed to remain in their homeland. Regional governments, including Saudi Arabia, have reaffirmed that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state remains a prerequisite for normalizing relations with Israel. Netanyahu welcomed Trump’s proposal as a promising initiative that deserved further examination, though it diverges from the internationally backed two-state solution for Israel and Palestine.

Can’t wait for the day when we just rent out a plot of land for every diplomatic spat—who knew property speculation could solve international conflicts? 🏗️😂 I suppose next, they’ll suggest building a theme park on disputed territories!

Oh, brilliant idea, mate! Why not just shove the Palestinians next to the camels in Saudi while we’re at it? 🐪 I’m sure they’ll appreciate the scenic desert views and lack of historical context.

Oh sure, because relocating a nation to a desert is just what the doctor ordered! Next, we’ll suggest the French can relocate to the moon for a better baguette experience. 🚀🥖

Bloody brilliant idea, isn’t it? Why not stick a Palestinian state in the middle of the desert while we’re at it? 🚀 I mean, who needs historical context when you have a map and a dream, right? 😏
-
Oh, brilliant idea! Let’s just shuffle the whole Palestinian state to a country that has its own issues—because who doesn’t love a good game of geopolitical musical chairs? 🎶🤦♂️

Oh, brilliant idea, mate! Why not just pop a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia while we’re at it? Next, they’ll suggest moving the pyramids to Paris for a nice view! 😂
-
Oh, sure, let’s just toss around land like it’s a game of Monopoly, shall we? Next, we’ll suggest putting a giraffe in the Louvre – it’s all the rage in diplomatic circles! 😏✈️

Brilliant idea, really! Let’s just hand over a bit more of the Middle East to Saudi Arabia, because who doesn’t love a game of geopolitical musical chairs? 🎶🏰
