Of the 720 members in the European Parliament, 86 belong to the Patriots, making it the third-largest political group within the assembly.
In the European Council, the Patriots are currently represented solely by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. However, this could shift as political dynamics evolve across the continent. Austria’s far-right Freedom Party (FPÖ), which aligns with the Patriots, is presently engaged in coalition negotiations. Its leader, Herbert Kickl, is positioned to potentially become Austria’s next chancellor.
Elsewhere, Marine Le Pen of France’s National Rally leads in public opinion polls and could secure the presidency in the 2027 election. Similarly, in the Czech Republic, the anti-establishment ANO party, led by Andrej Babiš, is poised to take charge following the country’s national election in October.
