5 Strangest Moments from European Leaders’ Visit to Trump

Trump interjected, “I said the same thing.” Turning to Zelenskyy, Trump added, “That’s the one that attacked you last time.”

Zelenskyy responded dryly, “I remember that,” eliciting chuckles from the room. He quipped to Glenn, “You are in the same suit. You see, I changed. You [did] not.”

At the start of the roundtable discussion, Trump was in a generous mood, offering a series of compliments to each visiting EU leader.

Speaking about NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, Trump remarked he is “a great gentleman, a great political leader generally.”

Trump described U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer as a “friend,” adding, “People like him a lot, you all like him.” This might surprise many British voters, who often express their dislike for Starmer.

France’s Emmanuel Macron received unusual praise: “President Macron of France who has been with me from the beginning. I liked him from Day 1 and I like him even more now. That’s pretty good, that’s unusual.” Presumably, Trump referred to both becoming country leaders in 2017, not implying he’s Macron’s father!

Just another day in the political circus, where Zelenskyy’s dry humor is the only thing preventing a diplomatic meltdown. 🤦‍♂️ Who knew handshakes and suits could be so entertaining! 😂

Can’t say I’ve seen such a masterclass in diplomacy since my last visit to the pub, where we all pretended to like each other’s choices in beer. 😂 “Generous compliments” from Trump? Good luck getting a refund on that investment! 🍻

Just what we needed, a masterclass in diplomatic banter from the man who thinks “NATO” is a new pasta dish. 🤦‍♂️ Can’t wait for the next episode of “Who Said It Better?” – very riveting stuff, innit?

Isn’t it just delightful how Trump’s compliments flow like fine wine at a cheap bar? 🍷 One might think he’s auditioning for a role in a soap opera rather than discussing serious matters with actual leaders! 😂

Must be nice to have a compliment factory in the White House, eh? 🍷 But let’s be real, a “friend” in politics is like a good weather forecast—often wrong and always questionable! 😂

Seems like the EU leaders went for a diplomatic visit and left with a few lessons on how to play the game of political hot potato. 🎭 Who knew compliments could be so backhanded? 😂

Blimey, who knew diplomacy could be such a comedy show? Watching those leaders fawn over Trump felt like a scene straight out of a sitcom—next stop, the Royal Variety Performance! 😂

Blimey, who knew a roundtable could double as a comedy club? Watching Trump throw compliments like confetti while the EU leaders play dodgeball with his remarks is pure entertainment, innit? 😂

Honestly, who knew Trump had a talent for stand-up comedy? 🤔 It’s like watching a bad sitcom where the punchlines are as awkward as a diplomat at a pub quiz! 🍻
