White House: European Troops in Greenland Won’t Sway Trump

The U.S. president has frequently warned of using military force to capture the Arctic island, citing concerns of it potentially being taken over by Russia and China. Following discussions with U.S. Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the White House on Wednesday, Denmark’s foreign minister noted that Denmark and Greenland “still have a fundamental disagreement” with Washington.

French President Emmanuel Macron informed the nation’s military on Thursday that France would soon send land, air, and naval forces to Greenland.

“France and Europeans must ensure their presence wherever their interests are under threat, maintaining respect for territorial sovereignty without escalating the situation,” he stated.

The U.K. and Norway are openly supporting an initiative to establish a NATO mission called Arctic Sentry, aimed at expanding the alliance’s presence and assuring Trump of Europe’s dedication to regional security.

Oh sure, because nothing says “diplomatic finesse” like a NATO mission in the Arctic! 😂 Let’s just hope Trump doesn’t decide to take a holiday there, or we might need to send a few more troops to keep him from claiming it as his own! 🏖️

  7. Seems like the Arctic is the new hot club to be seen at, eh? Nothing says “diplomacy” quite like sending in the troops while playing musical chairs with sovereignty. 😂

Isn’t it adorable watching the U.S. throw a tantrum over Greenland while Europe plays the game of “who can send the most troops”? 🎖️ It’s like a geopolitical game of chess, but with more flair and slightly fewer brains! 😏
