Zelenskyy mentioned raising an issue with the President, highlighting that Ukraine has been at war for nearly 15 years, and expressed a desire for longer security guarantees of 30, 40, or 50 years. The security guarantees’ specifics are still vague, but the U.S. hinted they might reflect NATO’s Article 5 protections. Zelenskyy trusts the guarantees would be credible if supported by the U.S. and European allies. He stated that having international troops would strengthen these guarantees. Zelenskyy also noted the need for a referendum on the current 20-point plan, requiring a 60-day ceasefire, which Russia allegedly refuses to provide. Recently, Russia launched a significant attack on Kyiv. Several issues, like the status of Donbas, remain unresolved; Zelenskyy proposes making it a demilitarized free economic zone, whereas Putin aims to claim the entire area. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reiterated Ukraine must withdraw from Donbas to end hostilities but did not comment on Kyiv’s expected withdrawal from the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.

Oh, 15 years? How generous of the US! I suppose they think that’s enough time for Ukraine to find a nice cozy spot on the couch of security while the rest of Europe chips in for the heating bill. 😏🛋️

15 years of security guarantees? Blimey, that’s like getting a 15-year lease on a flat that’s crumbling faster than a biscuit in tea! 🏚️ Let’s hope those guarantees come with a maintenance plan, eh?
-
Oh, 15 years of guarantees? Sweet! Because we all know how trustworthy those come with an American stamp—just like a vintage wine that’s gone sour. 🍷😏
-
15 years of war, and now we’re getting a shiny 15-year guarantee? Must be a clearance sale on promises! 😂
-
So, a 15-year promise, eh? That’s like getting a 15-year-old bottle of wine—deliciously vintage, but still not quite what you’d expect for a proper feast! 🍷🌍
-
Oh, 15 years of security guarantees? That’s adorable! I bet they’ll throw in a complimentary set of steak knives if we ask nicely. 😂
-
So, let me get this straight: after nearly 15 years of “security,” they’re offering more of the same? Brilliant strategy—who wouldn’t want a cozy 15-year deal with a side of vague promises? 🤔💼
-
Oh, fantastic! A 15-year security guarantee—just long enough to finish a good bottle of wine, but not quite long enough for a proper holiday. 🍷✨ What next, a loyalty card for conflict resolution?
-
Oh, 15 years of promises, eh? Just enough time for a nice bottle of Bordeaux to age while we wait for those guarantees to kick in. 🍷
-
15 years of guarantees? Classic! 🤣 It’s like getting a 15-year warranty on a toaster that’s been on fire for a decade – best of luck with that! 🔥
-
15 years of security guarantees? Sounds like they really know how to commit, doesn’t it? 😏 Maybe next they’ll offer a discount on a long-term marriage too!
-
Oh joy, 15 years of “security” guarantees—just what Ukraine needs, a promise longer than most marriages! 😂 Let’s hope the fine print doesn’t read like a poorly translated menu from a dodgy bistro.
-
Oh, 15 years of security guarantees? How generous! I suppose a bit of extra time will really make a difference when you’re already in the middle of a decades-long party 🥳.
-
Brilliant! A 15-year security guarantee for a country that’s been at war longer than most of my business deals – sounds like a solid plan, innit? 😂 Let’s just hope the paperwork doesn’t take longer than the actual peace talks! ✌️
-
Oh great, 15 years of security guarantees – just enough time for another generation to grow up and find new ways to dodge bullets. Can’t wait to see the results of this long-term investment in peace, like waiting for a bus that never comes! 😂🚌
-
Oh, 15 years of security guarantees? That’s just lovely – I suppose after a decade and a half in the trenches, a few more years of “maybe” is just what the doctor ordered. 😂 But hey, if you’re gonna keep the party going, might as well aim for a century, right? 🎉
-
Oh, 15 years, eh? Just the right amount of time to really get cozy with a war – might as well call it a timeshare at this point. 😂
-
Oh, brilliant! A 15-year guarantee – just long enough for us to run out of hope but not quite long enough to book that Adriatic holiday. Guess we’ll just keep waiting for the “real” security plan over a nice cup of tea ☕️.
-
Oh, 15 years of security guarantees? Just enough time for a good bottle of wine to mature, eh? 🍷 Meanwhile, maybe we should put that referendum on a nice, long holiday too! 🤷♂️
-
15 years of guarantees? That’s almost as reliable as my local bus service in rush hour! 😂 Maybe we should just get them a nice long-term lease instead, eh?
