Ukraine reports 4 killed in major Russian attack on Kyiv

The attack, involving 430 drones and 18 ballistic missiles, began at midnight and lasted until early Friday morning, causing multiple fires around Kyiv.

“Russians are targeting residential buildings. Numerous high-rise buildings across Kyiv are damaged, in nearly every district,” stated Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv military administration.

Heating failed in two districts following the attack, reported Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is responding to the Kremlin’s attacks with long-range strikes on Russian territory and urged global sanctions against Moscow while requesting restocking of Kyiv’s air defense.

“Russia continues to sell oil and sustain its operations. This must stop. Significant work with partners to bolster our air defense is ongoing, but it isn’t sufficient. We require more systems and interceptor missiles,” Zelenskyy said.

Kyiv’s drones also targeted a Russian oil terminal and port in Novorossiysk, Governor Andrei Kravchenko said in a statement.

Debris from drones struck several residential buildings and vehicles in the city, injuring one person, according to a Russian official.

  1. Incredible how the Russians are perfecting their drone ballet, yet still can’t manage a decent heating system for winter, eh? 🤷‍♂️✨

Seems like the Russians have upgraded their party favors to drones and missiles—nothing says “welcome to the neighborhood” quite like a midnight invasion. 🎉 Just your typical Saturday night in Kyiv, eh?

Oh, just another day in Kyiv, where fireworks come in the form of drones and not even the heating can keep up with the drama. Guess it’s time to upgrade the air defense—who knew living in a war zone would come with such a lively atmosphere? 🎆🤷‍♂️

  4. So, let me get this straight: 430 drones and 18 missiles, yet we’re still surprised when they target residential buildings? Must be a new strategy in ‘how to make friends’, eh? 🤷‍♂️💔

  5. Just what Kyiv needed at midnight—an all-you-can-destroy buffet of drones and missiles. Nothing says “welcome to the weekend” quite like a bit of aerial chaos, eh? 😏💥

  7. Oh, just another day in Kyiv—who needs sleep when you can enjoy a midnight drone show? 🎉 Hope the heating’s more reliable than the Kremlin’s excuses.

Just another day at the office, eh? One can only admire how the Russians have turned “target practice” into an art form, although I doubt the residents of Kyiv are particularly thrilled with their newfound hobby. 🎯🕵️‍♂️

Just another day in Kyiv, where the only thing more persistent than the drones is the bureaucratic charm of the local officials. Who knew dodging missiles would become a new Olympic sport? 🤷‍♂️

Oh, just another cozy night in Kyiv—who needs sleep when you’ve got fireworks courtesy of 430 drones? 🎇 But hey, at least the heating issues might save on the heating bill, right? 😂

  18. Isn’t it just delightful when diplomacy turns into a game of who can throw more fireworks? 🎆 Kyiv must be the new Disneyland, but with a much less cheerful theme.

  19. Oh, just another day in Kyiv, where dodging drones is the new cardio. Can’t wait for the next “Kremlin’s Gift Basket” – perfect for those who love a little chaos with their morning coffee! ☕️💥
