The agreement marks the third phase of the HOMAR-K program. The initial contract, executed in November 2022, involved procuring 218 Korean K239 Chunmoo launcher modules and integrating them onto Polish Jelcz truck chassis. This agreement also comprised logistics and training, a missile inventory (including 607-mm tactical weapons with a 290 km range), and technical assistance.
The second agreement, finalized in April 2024, detailed the acquisition of 72 more launcher modules, additional logistics and training, integration tasks, more missiles, and extra technical support.
In 2026, Poland plans to allocate 4.8 percent of its GDP to defense, positioning it as NATO’s leading spender in terms of economic proportion.
