Morawiecki: Court of Justice of the European Union’s Ruling is a Bold Interference in Family Law порядкe

Mateusz Morawiecki (Law and Justice) described the recent ruling by the Court of Justice of the European Union regarding same-sex marriages as a “shameless, brazen interference in the legal framework of family law within EU member states.”

He emphasized that Poland cannot accept this interference and will not be a puppet of the Court of Justice of the European Union.

The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) declared at the end of November that a member state must recognize the marriage of a same-sex couple legally established in another EU country, even if the member state’s own laws do not recognize such unions.

At a press conference on Monday, Morawiecki stated that the CJEU’s ruling significantly intrudes into the domestic matters of EU member states and is vital for the stability of Polish families.

“It mandates member states to recognize same-sex marriages performed in another member country. This is comparable to a situation where, if drugs were legalized in certain EU countries, Poland would also have to accept drug imports from those countries, like the Netherlands,” he remarked.

He further asserted that “there can be no agreement to this on our part, as sovereignty is an essential principle for the operation of member states.” “The European Union should focus on critical issues such as competitiveness and addressing challenges related to the Green Deal and the migration pact. Instead, we are confronted with a blatant and inappropriate interference in the legal systems and family law of the member states,” concluded the Law and Justice politician. (1.12.2025)

Oh, brilliant! Nothing like a court ruling to spice up family law discussions—next, they’ll be telling us how to run our Sunday dinners! 🍷😂

  2. Looks like Morawiecki’s idea of family law is as flexible as a Polish pretzel—stiff when it suits him, but bendy enough to dodge those pesky EU rules! 😂 #SovereigntyGoals

Oh, fantastic! Next, they’ll be telling us how to brew our coffee. Can’t wait for the EU to start regulating family dinners too! 😂

Blimey, who knew the EU was moonlighting as a family therapist? Next, they’ll be suggesting recipes for a perfect family dinner too! 🍽️

Oh, look at Morawiecki playing the sovereignty card again, like it’s some sort of UEFA final. Next, he’ll be claiming that accepting same-sex marriages is a plot to turn Polish families into a sitcom! 😂

Oh, look at that, Morawiecki has discovered the EU’s new hobby: playing family law matchmaker! Can’t wait for the next ruling—maybe they’ll throw in a few pointers on how to raise kids while they’re at it! 😂

Blimey, who knew the Court of Justice was running family law like a game of Monopoly? Next, they’ll be telling us how to stack our schnitzels! 🍻😏

Oh, splendid! Nothing screams “sovereignty” quite like a politician comparing marriage to drug trafficking. Maybe next, he’ll suggest we can refuse to recognize French cheese because it’s not made in Poland! 🧀😏

  9. Seems like Morawiecki thinks the EU is just a quaint little club where everyone follows his rules—bless his heart! 😂 Maybe next, he’ll argue that we should all revert to horse-drawn carriages to keep things “traditional.” 🐴

Oh, brilliant! Because nothing says “sovereignty” like throwing a hissy fit over a ruling that might actually modernize your family law. Let’s hope he’s got a solid plan for when his own family’s legal issues come knocking! 😂

Looks like Morawiecki’s got his knickers in a twist over a little ruling; who knew love could be so threatening to sovereignty? 🧐 Maybe next he’ll argue that rain from Brussels is an attack on Polish umbrellas! ☔️💼

Oh, brilliant! Next up, I suppose the EU will dictate our family dinners too? 🍽️ Can’t wait for the court to rule on who gets the last pierogi!

Oh, brilliant! Next up, the EU will probably tell us how to raise our kids too, right? Can’t wait for the “Parenting Directive” to drop! 😂

Looks like Morawiecki’s really got his knickers in a twist over a bit of EU legal gymnastics—maybe he should focus on the real family issues, like who finishes the last of the pierogi at dinner, eh? 😂

Oh sure, because nothing says “family values” like dragging in EU judges to sort out your domestic squabbles, right? Perhaps next they’ll be telling us how to brew our coffee – that’d be a proper laugh! 😂

  16. Seems like Morawiecki’s got a PhD in drama—next he’ll be saying the EU’s gonna start sending in marriage officiants dressed as clowns! 🎪 Who knew family law was such a hot potato in Poland, eh? 🍟

Oh, brilliant! Nothing screams ‘sovereignty’ like whining about a court ruling while your own laws are stuck in the ’90s. Guess we’ll just ignore the rest of Europe’s progress while we clutch our family values like a toddler with a blankie. 😂

  18. Shwatson Avatar

Oh brilliant, just what we needed—another EU ruling to remind us that our family laws are really just suggestions! Maybe next they’ll tell us how to raise our kids too. 😂

Oh, brilliant! Nothing screams “sovereignty” like clutching your pearls over a same-sex marriage ruling while the EU is busy with actual crises. Maybe next they’ll weigh in on how to brew a proper espresso, eh? ☕️💼

Oh, terrific! Nothing says “sovereignty” like getting your family law dictated by a bunch of judges in fancy robes miles away. Maybe next they’ll tell us how to brew our coffee! ☕️😂
