Kraainem (Eurotoday) – On March 24, 2022, in Kraainem, Belgium, Magali Wagner and her daughter Coline Ghinet were drugged and stabbed. Pierre Devalet planned the murders, Ngongi executed them, and Vincent Léglise facilitated them. The sentence will be decided today, March 14, 2025.
The three men—Pierre Devalet, Ngongi, and Vincent Léglise—initially denied killing Magali Wagner and her daughter, Coline Ghinet. However, in December 2022, Pierre Devalet confessed. He admitted to planning the murders and stated that Ngongi carried out the killings in Kraainem, Belgium.
Vincent Léglise served as the link between Devalet and Ngongi. Since all three men were involved in orchestrating the crime, they were charged with premeditated murder. The trial is now taking place in Brussels and has garnered significant public interest.
Who planned and carried out the Kraainem double murder?
According to Devalet, on the night of the murders, he gave Magali and Coline a meal containing a sleeping pill and a strong painkiller called oxycodone. That night, he stayed at a friend’s house while the crime was carried out.
The jury found Devalet’s confession credible based on evidence uncovered during the investigation. They concluded that Devalet wanted Magali and Coline dead because the killings coincided with Coline’s time at her mother’s home.
The jury also found Ngongi guilty of committing the murders. A key piece of evidence was the discovery of his DNA at the crime scene. Additionally, blood from the victims was detected on the steering wheel, gear shift, pedals, and handbrake of Ngongi’s car.
Ngongi claimed that he only moved the car and had no part in the killings. However, the jury rejected his defense, concluding that he was the hired killer. They ruled that his involvement extended beyond simply moving the car—he was the one who murdered the two women. Despite his attempts to deny responsibility, the evidence against him was overwhelming.
The jury also dismissed Vincent Léglise’s testimony. He claimed he had only introduced Devalet to Ngongi and had no further involvement. However, phone records showed ongoing communication between Léglise, Devalet, and Ngongi, contradicting his account.
Investigators discovered that Léglise helped arrange the payment for the murders and facilitated meetings between Devalet and Ngongi. The jury determined that Léglise was not merely a middleman but an active participant in planning the crime. Now that all three men have been found guilty, the court is set to determine their sentences later today, March 14, 2025.
On March 24, 2022, Magali Wagner and her daughter, Coline Ghinet, were found murdered in their home in Kraainem, Belgium. They had been drugged and stabbed. Magali’s ex-partner, Pierre Devalet, was the one who called the police, claiming to have discovered blood. However, investigators quickly suspected Devalet, as Magali had recently ended their relationship.

Seems like the lads in Kraainem really took “teamwork makes the dream work” to a rather ghastly level, eh? 🤷♂️ Next time, maybe stick to a good ol’ pint instead of plotting murder—much safer, I promise! 🍻

Oh brilliant, just what we needed—a real-life plot twist straight out of a bad Belgian thriller. Who knew the local lads had such a flair for murder? 🍻 #KraainemCrimeFamily
