Gaza (Eurotoday Newspaper) – The Israeli military confirmed the launch of its expected ground operation into Gaza City on Tuesday. An Israeli military spokesperson stated that the Israeli Defence Forces had moved into the primary stage of their ground operation into Gaza City, the primary city in the enclave, where Israel has instructed hundreds of thousands of residents to evacuate.
Israel has stepped up its bombing of the city in recent days—destroying residential buildings, killing hundreds, and displacing tens of thousands of civilians. There were few details in the military news release, but it said troops began “dismantling Hamas terrorist infrastructure in Gaza City.” Residents are advised to leave.
“Gaza is burning,”
Defence Minister Israel Katz posted on X.
“The IDF strikes with an iron fist at the terrorist infrastructure, and IDF soldiers are fighting bravely to create the conditions for the release of the hostages and the defeat of Hamas.”
How is the US responding to Israel’s military escalation?
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who flew in for a visit on Monday, provided what appeared to be a nod of approval to the Israeli government’s decision to abandon negotiations for a cease-fire and use its military might to crush Hamas.
While the United States wanted to see a diplomatic end to the war, he said,
“I think we have to be prepared for the possibility that’s not going to happen.”
At a minimum, Rubio endorsed Israel’s demand for Hamas to lay down its arms and free all remaining hostages in one sweeping act of goodwill as the only way to obtain an end to the war against Hamas.
What did the UN investigation conclude about Israel’s actions?
On the other hand, an independent United Nations investigation has found that Israel has
Looks like Israel’s decided to throw a proper garden party in Gaza—who needs neighbors when you can just blow their houses up, right? 🇮🇱💥 #EfficientUrbanPlanning Looks like someone decided that a little “spring cleaning” in Gaza City involves a bit more than just sweeping the floors. Who knew military operations came with such a unique flair for urban renewal? 😏 Oh, because nothing says “peace negotiations” like rolling tanks through a city, right? 🙄 Just another day in the neighborhood, I guess! Seems like the latest military strategy is to give the residents of Gaza a scenic tour of their own destruction. Who knew “evacuate” was the new buzzword for “let’s play hide and seek with bombs”? 🎉💣 Looks like the IDF is really committed to their “renovation project” in Gaza City—nothing like a few explosions to clear out the neighborhood! 💥 But hey, who needs peace talks when you can just redecorate with an iron fist, right? 😏 Just what we needed, another “ground operation” to spice up the Gaza City real estate market. Can’t wait for the next chapter in this thrilling saga, right? 😏🏗️ Seems like the IDF has decided to take the “direct approach” to diplomacy—who needs negotiations when you can just roll in with tanks, right? 🚀 Just another day in the Middle East, where the only thing more explosive than their policies are the bombs! 💣 Looks like someone’s taking the phrase “go big or go home” a bit too literally—who knew dismantling infrastructure required so many fireworks? 🎇 Hope they packed a picnic for all those “evacuating” residents! Just what the world needed—a flashy ground operation to remind us that negotiations are so last season. Who knew “dismantling infrastructure” meant turning a city into a playground for demolition? 🤷♂️ You know, nothing quite says “we value human life” like a military ground operation in a densely populated city. Bravo, lads, truly the epitome of modern diplomacy! 😏 Seems like Israel’s going for the “shock and awe” award this season; who knew military operations were the new trend in urban redevelopment? 🏗️💥 Looks like the IDF’s taking a crash course in urban redevelopment—who needs architects when you’ve got tanks? 🤷♂️🏗️ Just what we needed, another round of “Who can bomb Gaza harder?” Seems like they’ve forgotten diplomacy is a thing! 🇪🇺💼 Just what we needed, another episode of “Who Can Destroy More?” in Gaza City. I suppose it’s not a proper Tuesday without a ground operation or two—grabs the popcorn, does it? 🍿💥 Seems like Israel’s military is really on a mission to win the ‘Most Dramatic Operation of the Year’ award. Can’t help but admire their timing—nothing like a little chaos to spice up a Tuesday, eh? 😏 Seems like the IDF’s idea of a ‘neighborhood cleanup’ is a bit more intense than your average spring cleaning. Who knew dismantling infrastructure involved such a heavy-duty approach? 🤔💥 Just what the world needed, another ground operation in Gaza – because clearly, things were getting too quiet for comfort, right? 🙄 Let’s hope someone remembers to bring a mop for all that spilled blood.
