Fire Ladder Truck Crashes in Ganshoren, Causing Minor Injuries

Ganshoren (Eurotoday) – A Brussels firefighter ladder truck collided with a private vehicle in Ganshoren, resulting in the emergency vehicle coming to a halt in a nearby hedge, according to a report from the Brussels Fire Department on Saturday afternoon. All involved parties sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital for medical evaluation.

The ladder truck, operated by the Brussels fire service, was en route to a fire emergency when it struck a private car at the intersection of Avenue de l’Exposition Universelle and Drève de Rivieren around 11:30 AM. The impact forced the fire engine off the road and into a hedge. According to the fire brigade’s spokesperson, the accident resulted in minor injuries for both firefighters and the car’s occupants—two individuals from each vehicle were taken to the hospital.
