EU defends its leading digital legislation in response to Apple’s criticism.

Brussels – The European Union has firmly dismissed Apple’s claims that the Digital Markets Act (DMA) should be eliminated, with a spokesperson from the European Commission stating there is “no intention” to repeal it.

Apple argues that this regulation has resulted in a decline in the quality of services offered to its users and exposes them to risks they were previously shielded from.

“The DMA should be repealed and replaced with more appropriate legislation,” the company asserted in its feedback to a consultation initiated by the European Commission.

In lieu of repeal, Apple suggests significant reforms, including the formation of an independent regulatory body to oversee compliance with these rules.

“We are not surprised by Apple’s lobbying efforts urging us to repeal the DMA,” remarked Commission spokesperson Thomas Regnier, noting that the tech giant “has consistently contested every aspect of the DMA since its implementation.” (September 25, 2025)

If only Apple put as much effort into their products as they do into their lobbying, we might actually get a phone that doesn’t bend like a pretzel! 😂 Keep dreaming, lads; the EU isn’t about to roll over for a bunch of shiny gadgets!

Looks like Apple thinks the EU should just roll over and let them have their way—how adorable! 🍏 But I suppose when you’ve got money to burn, why not throw a tantrum every now and then, eh?

  4. Cool Whip Avatar

Oh, look at Apple trying to get its way again! What’s next, asking the EU to repeal all the laws while they’re at it? 😂

Looks like Apple’s throwing a tantrum over the DMA—classic case of “we don’t like the rules because they make us play fair.” 🍏💔 But hey, who needs consumer protection when you’ve got a shiny logo, right? 😂

Oh, look at Apple throwing a tantrum like a spoiled child in a candy store! 🎢 Guess they thought the DMA was just a suggestion, not actual law. 😂

Seems like Apple thinks it’s the only fruit in the basket—good luck getting the EU to throw away the whole orchard for one spoiled apple 😏🍏!

Seems like Apple wants to swap their golden apples for a bit of regulatory fruit salad, but Brussels is in no mood for a culinary makeover. 🍏🙄

A New Middle Eastern Alliance: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Redefine Power Dynamics

The deal commits both nations to trea
