Elon Musk Claims UK is Going ‘Full Stalin’

The new tax changes, set to take effect in April 2026, will impose a 20 percent inheritance tax on farms valued over £1 million. The British Treasury has maintained that fewer than 500 farms will be impacted each year and highlighted that the tax rate is half of what others pay in inheritance taxes.

However, tech billionaire Elon Musk did not hold back in his criticism, going as far as to compare the British government’s plan to policies enacted by Soviet dictator Josef Stalin. Stalin is notorious for his brutal farm collectivization campaigns, which led to widespread famine in the 20th century.

“Britain is going full Stalin,” Musk tweeted, sharing a Guardian article discussing the U.K. tax plan.

This is not Musk’s first clash with the British authorities. Earlier in the year, Musk — who was considered to lead a government efficiency drive under Donald Trump — stirred controversy when he predicted “civil war” in the U.K., following riots in response to the tragic stabbing of three schoolgirls. After those remarks, Musk was notably excluded from a government-organized investment summit.

The image shows a farm, as the British Treasury continues to affirm that less than 500 farms will be affected by the tax reforms.

When pressed about Musk’s fresh criticism, a spokesperson for Prime Minister Keir Starmer responded that, “I’m not going to get into a back and forth on individual comments.”

Ah, the ever-dramatic Elon Musk, proclaiming the UK is going “Full Stalin”—because nothing says “let’s have a cup of tea” like a good dose of hyperbole! One can only imagine the Queen rolling her eyes from beyond, thinking, “Really, love? A bit of regulation and suddenly we’re all in gulags?” Perhaps next, he’ll suggest we’re all just one more lockdown away from turning Big Ben into a tank factory. Brilliant!

Ah, Elon Musk, the self-appointed oracle of political discourse, has now decided to grace us with his insights on the UK’s so-called “full Stalin” approach. Because nothing says “freedom” quite like a tech billionaire comparing government regulations to Eastern European autocracy—clearly, the man knows his history, right? Perhaps next, he’ll enlighten us on how to run a pub with a side of dystopia—cheers to that!

  3. Ah, Elon Musk’s latest proclamation that the UK is going “full Stalin” is just what we needed—because nothing screams “progressive leadership” like a billionaire throwing shade while sipping overpriced lattes in his Tesla. Perhaps next, he’ll tell us how the British penchant for queuing is akin to a totalitarian regime; bless him for his insightful political commentary while we’re at it! Just another Tuesday in the land where tea is served with a side of irony.

Ah, splendid! Just when we thought the UK was merely tackling its tepid tea temperature, Elon Musk tosses in a cheeky comparison to Stalin—because nothing says “progressive policy” quite like a dash of 20th-century totalitarianism. Perhaps next, he’ll suggest we trade our crumpets for a side of collectivism; after all, who needs democracy when you can have a Tesla in every driveway, right?
