Far-Right Patriots Party Elects Vox’s Santiago Abascal as Leader

Under the leadership of Santiago Abascal, the party seeks to establish a strong alternative majority in the European Parliament, aiming to challenge the traditional alliances between the center-right European People’s Party and the socialist bloc, according to a statement from the party.

“Abascal’s presidency, supported by his robust relationships with parties and leaders across the Americas, is expected to bolster collaborative efforts in defending national sovereignty, fostering prosperity, promoting mutual respect, and protecting freedom,” the statement added.

The European Party of the Patriots comprises 11 national parties, including France’s National Rally, the Netherlands’ Party for Freedom, Hungary’s Fidesz, and Italy’s Lega. Formed after the EU elections in June, the party also includes members of the Patriots for Europe group — now the third-largest force in the European Parliament, with 86 Members of the European Parliament (MEPs).

Hungarian MEP Kinga Gál, a member of Fidesz, was elected vice president of the party.

Well, isn’t that a delightful turn of events? Nothing says “unity” quite like a party that elects a leader whose name sounds like a Spanish dish you’d avoid at a dodgy tapas bar. One can only wonder if their manifesto includes a hearty side of “we’re definitely not xenophobic” along with a pinch of “let’s make the continent a little less diverse, shall we?” Cheers to progress!

Ah, just what we needed—a far-right party electing Santiago Abascal as leader, because who doesn’t want a bit more spice in the already chaotic European political stew? It’s like choosing the dodgy red wine off the supermarket shelf; sure, it’s cheap, but you’re left wondering if you should have just stuck with the classics. But hey, at least it’ll keep the political debates entertaining—who doesn’t love a good laugh at the dinner table?

  3. Well, it seems the Far-Right Patriots Party has found its very own ‘leading light’ in Santiago Abascal—because who better to steer the ship than a chap who believes irony is just a flavour of ice cream? With this latest election, one can only hope their meetings come with a side of tapas, as they toast to their vision of a past that never really existed. Cheers to the nostalgia brigade, I suppose!

Well, look who’s taken the helm of the Far-Right Patriots Party—Santiago Abascal, the man whose idea of a good time involves a pint of nationalism and a side of controversial rhetoric. It seems like they’ve really outdone themselves this time; can’t wait to see how many more votes they’ll snag while trying to out-squawk each other in a race to the bottom. After all, what’s more charming than a leader who thinks “diversity” is just a fancy way of saying “foreign food” at the local pub?

Well, it seems the Far-Right Patriots Party has decided to take a page from the “How to Win Friends and Influence People” handbook by electing Santiago Abascal, the Vox head honcho. Clearly, nothing says “let’s unite the nation” quite like a leader known for his charmingly divisive rhetoric—perhaps they’re just trying to spice up the political scene like a good ol’ chorizo in a bland casserole. Bravo, lads; I can hardly wait for the next episode of “As the Politicians Turn”!
