The Commission has opened a Call for evidence, encouraging citizens and stakeholders to provide their opinions on planned actions in three crucial areas affecting schools and classrooms throughout Europe:
- Basic skills: assisting schools in addressing declining performance in literacy, maths, science, digital skills, and citizenship.
- Teachers and school leaders: an Agenda dedicated to enhancing working conditions, career development, and the overall appeal of the teaching profession.
- Digital education infrastructure: updating Europe’s digital education systems as AI becomes increasingly central to learning, with an emphasis on human agency, inclusiveness, and digital sovereignty.
