Authorities have yet to determine if the object was a drone or missile, or its origin. No casualties were reported.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is heading to the site, stated government spokesperson Adam Szłapka.
“I convened a coordination team with the Minister of Defense and relevant services, who have been working on-site for hours, providing updates on the incident’s circumstances,” Tusk posted on social media.
Russian strikes killed at least eight people in Ukraine overnight, Reuters reported. Following the crash, Poland launched fighter jets and briefly activated air-raid sirens in Lublin.
