Celebration of L. Ron Hubbard’s Birthday by Scientologists in 2026

KINGNEWSWIRE // PRESS RELEASE // BRUSSELS, Belgium — April 2, 2026 — The 2026 celebration of Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard’s birthday gathered over 5,000 Scientologists from 74 countries at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida, on March 14. The event showcased historical achievements, organizational growth, and an emphasis on passing Scientology principles to future generations. Key announcements included the unveiling of a restored L. Ron Hubbard Landmark Site in La Estrella, Telde, Canary Islands, and the launch of new illustrated Scientology children’s books and courses in 25 languages.

The restored villa in La Estrella held special significance for Europe. Situated above the Atlantic on Telde, Gran Canaria, it is notable in Scientology history. In 1967, L. Ron Hubbard worked there on upper spiritual levels and announced the creation of the Sea Organization, the Church’s religious order established for advanced research and Church supervision globally.

The La Estrella property, now the tenth L. Ron Hubbard Landmark Site worldwide, has been restored to its appearance during Hubbard’s stay, preserving the period’s atmosphere and setting. Items related to the site include the Aiwa recorder used for Ron’s Journal 1967, the British Mark V E-Meter linked to research into advanced spiritual levels, a 16 mm motion picture camera, and communications equipment from the Atlantic location. The site expands the international network of places integral to Dianetics and Scientology’s development.

The presentation of La Estrella added a European dimension to an event that reviewed the broader developments across Scientology’s global network. The evening highlighted new executive teams returning to churches in North America, Europe, and Australia after advanced training, with Padova in northern Italy prominently featured. The program also recognized the new Ideal Church in San Juan, Puerto Rico, as part of continuing expansion associated with L. Ron Hubbard birthday celebrations.

The second major focus of the evening was children’s education. Mr. David Miscavige, Scientology’s ecclesiastical leader, introduced a new library of illustrated Scientology books aimed at making the religion’s basic principles accessible to young readers and families. The release includes two 10-volume sets: one for children aged seven and another for more advanced readers. All 20 books and their courses are available in 25 languages, forming a worldwide curriculum for future generations.

The educational initiative is presented as a structural development across Scientology Churches. Dedicated children’s course rooms are now established in all 79 Ideal Churches worldwide, providing spaces designed for young Scientologists. The announcement added an intergenerational character to the evening, linking heritage preservation with the transmission of beliefs, values, and study materials to children and adolescents, and others, in an age-appropriate format.

The celebration revisited L. Ron Hubbard’s wider legacy as an author, educator, and founder whose work extended beyond theology into ethical and social programs. The event noted his January 2026 recognition by the Independent Book Publishers Association as “Master of All Genres” and highlighted the reach of initiatives inspired by his writings, including study methods, drug prevention, and The Way to Happiness, noted as having surpassed 145 million copies distributed worldwide.

Founded in 1952, Scientology marks L. Ron Hubbard’s birthday as a time to review progress, new projects, and milestones in the religion’s development. This year’s celebration stood out for linking two themes resonant in Europe: historical preservation and responsibility toward future generations. Thus, the restored Canary Islands site and the new children’s educational materials conveyed continuity anchored in heritage and sustained through learning.

Ivan Arjona, the Church of Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe, and UN, stated the 2026 celebration reflected a connection between Europe’s cultural heritage and the duty to transmit values to younger generations. “The presentation of the restored La Estrella landmark in

So, a gathering of 5,000 folks to celebrate a man’s birthday—who knew the secret to a good party was a restored villa and children’s books? I suppose if you can’t find a good excuse for a night out, just make it a “cultural heritage” gala. 🎉🥳

Oh, just what Europe needs—more landmarks and illustrated books to enlighten our youth about, you know, the wonders of space opera and intergalactic ethics. 🎉 Because who wouldn’t want their kids to grow up knowing about L. Ron’s adventures instead of, say, local history? 😏
