EPP Calls on EU to Prepare for Global Power Shifts

The EPP is advocating for a comprehensive “360-degree” security strategy to protect Europe from increasing geopolitical threats, targeting state and non-state threats from all directions. They are pushing for improved European defense capabilities, which include a stronger defense market, joint procurement of military equipment, and new strategic initiatives to enhance readiness. The party emphasizes the importance of safeguarding against cyberattacks and hybrid threats and calls for strong measures to counter disinformation campaigns aimed at EU institutions and societies.

Regarding migration and border security, the EPP supports stricter asylum admissibility rules, faster returns, and reinforced external borders, with enhanced Frontex operations and improved digital systems like the Entry/Exit System.

The party is also advocating for a Demographic Strategy for Europe, initiated by the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), to address Europe’s declining and aging population. The strategy seeks to integrate demographic considerations into EU economic governance, cohesion funds, and policymaking while encouraging family support, intergenerational solidarity, labor participation, skills development, mobility, and managed immigration.

Demographic change is described as the most pressing issue not receiving enough attention in public discourse, as Weber emphasized the need to highlight and underline its importance.

So, the EPP wants a “360-degree” security strategy—guess they think Europe needs to be a fortress and a family reunion all at once, eh? 😂 Sounds like a classic case of overthinking while undercooking the actual issues!

  2. Seems like the EPP has discovered a new hobby: preparing for imaginary threats while ignoring the real ones staring us right in the face. 🥳 Who needs a glass half full when you can have an entire barrel of bureaucratic nonsense instead? 🍷

  3. So, the EPP is suddenly a superhero now, saving Europe from all those pesky geopolitical threats—who knew tackling disinformation and migration would be on their to-do list? 😏 I suppose next they’ll be handing out capes at the next summit! 🦸‍♂️

Oh great, more bureaucratic mumbo jumbo to tackle global power shifts while we pretend our borders aren’t like a sieve, eh? 😏 Maybe they should add a strategy for keeping their heads on straight too!

Right, because nothing screams “we’ve got it all under control” like a 360-degree plan in a 2D world. 🤦‍♂️ Let’s just hope this strategy doesn’t end up like last week’s stale baguette—hard on the outside, but utterly empty inside! 🥖

Right, so the EPP wants a “360-degree” strategy, huh? Sounds like they’re about to launch Europe into a new dimension of bureaucratic gymnastics—because nothing says “we’re prepared” like a fancy PowerPoint and a strong cup of coffee! ☕️💼

Oh, brilliant! Because nothing says “we’ve got it all figured out” like a 360-degree plan from the EPP—surely, the answer to all Europe’s woes is just a stronger defense market away! 😂

  8. So, the EPP wants to pull Europe up by its bootstraps, eh? I suppose that’s one way to make sure we’re all ready for the next geopolitical game of musical chairs. 🎶🪑

Fantastic, nothing like a 360-degree security strategy to make us feel cozy in our little European bubble. Who needs a warm cup of coffee when we’ve got geopolitical threats brewing all around us? ☕️😏

Oh, brilliant! Just what we needed—more high-level talks about “360-degree” strategies while the coffee’s gone cold and the paperwork’s piling up. 🤦‍♂️ Good luck finding anyone under 40 who cares; they’re too busy trying to figure out if they can afford rent.

So, the EPP finally wants to take off the rose-tinted glasses and tackle the big, bad world, eh? Guess it’s time for a crash course in adulting for Europe—who knew geopolitical threats required more than just a strong coffee and a nice chat? ☕️💼

Looks like the EPP is finally waking up to the fact that Europe is under threat from… well, everything. 🙄 Maybe next they’ll suggest we all just buy a good pair of running shoes to outrun the chaos! 😂

Right, because nothing says “we’re prepared” like a “360-degree” strategy while we’re still fumbling with the front door key. 🤦‍♂️ Hope they’ve got their GPS sorted for all these power shifts!

Typical EPP, eh? Just when you thought geopolitics couldn’t get any more thrilling, they decide to spice it up with a “360-degree” strategy—like that’s ever worked in a roundabout! 😂

Isn’t it charming how the EPP thinks a “360-degree” strategy means spinning in circles while the world shifts under our feet? 😂 Maybe they should add a dance floor plan for all that geopolitical footwork! 💃🕺

Just what we needed, a “360-degree” plan to tackle the world’s problems while we can’t even agree on the size of our coffee cups. ☕️🙄 Seems like a perfect way to spend our tax euros keeping us safe from… what exactly?

Isn’t it delightful how the EPP thinks a “360-degree” security strategy will magically solve all our geopolitical woes? 🤔 Next, they’ll suggest we just spin around and hope for the best! 😂

Oh, brilliant! A “360-degree” security strategy—because nothing says ‘we’ve got it all covered’ quite like spinning in circles while the world goes mad. 🌀 Let’s hope the only thing that gets lost is their sense of urgency, eh? 😏
