European Women’s International Leadership Awards 2025 Honor Eight Global Women Leaders

The European Women’s International Leadership Award (EWILA) 7th edition ceremony took place on November 3, marking a significant moment in the recognition of women leaders worldwide.

This year, eight laureates were honored, representing diverse geographical areas and sectors.

They are:

Najla Alshami (Yemen/Belgium),

Khadija Bendam (Morocco),

Violeta Bulc (Slovenia),

Nasancia Charles (Jamaica/USA),

Klaudia Fliegelova (Slovakia/Italy),

Rahwa Kinfe (Tigray/Ethiopia),

Elis Lovric (Istria/Croatia),

Christine Schuler Deschryver (Democratic Republic of the Congo).

The jury members were Marième Albertini, Radouan Bachiri, Björn Hultin, Frank Schwalba-Hoth, and Svetlana Spaic.

For his part, the founding president of EWILA, Radouan Bachiri, stated that this initiative, now in its seventh year, aims to “recognize, value, and encourage women who have distinguished themselves in various fields by bringing about lasting change in their communities,” noting that this award celebrates perseverance, commitment, and female leadership in all its forms.

This prestigious European prize annually recognizes women with exceptional careers, committed to transforming their societies and promoting their disciplines internationally, he added.

The awards were presented by Brussels Member of Parliament and former Secretary of State Gisèle Mandaila.

The ceremony took place in the presence of ambassadors, diplomats, European dignitaries, and representatives from the political, academic, and civil society spheres.

The EWILA 2025 ceremony was a significant moment of celebration and mobilization.

It served as a reminder that behind each award lies not only a remarkable individual achievement but also a collective commitment to a more equitable world.

Looks like the awards are back, and just in time to remind us that women can lead, even if half the world still thinks a boardroom is just a fancy pub! 🍻 Bravo, ladies, let’s keep breaking that glass ceiling while the rest of us continue to sip our lattes and watch from the sidelines!

Oh, how splendid! Eight women honored for leading the charge in a world where we still ask if they should be allowed to drive, let alone lead. 🥳

Look at that, a whole gala just to pat some women’s backs—must be nice to get a trophy for doing what should be standard practice! 🏆✨ In a world where we still celebrate basic human decency, I guess this is our version of a gold star, eh? 😂

Oh, look at us, handing out awards like candy for “exceptional careers” while the rest of us are just trying to get through the day without spilling our coffee! ☕️ Maybe next year they’ll honor someone for the most creative excuse to skip a meeting! 😏

Oh, how charming! Eight women getting awards for just managing to lead in a world where it’s still a surprise when anyone does anything remotely decent. 🙄 Bravo, truly, can’t wait for next year’s “Look, They Can Do It Too!” awards! 💁‍♂️

  14. Oh, another award show to remind us how “exceptional” women are at doing what we all should be doing – changing the world! 🙄 Just what we need, more ceremonies to pat each other on the back while the rest of us are stuck in traffic. 🚕

Oh, look! Another fancy soirée to pat ourselves on the back for acknowledging women who actually do stuff while the rest of us just sit around in our suits pretending we know what’s going on. Bravo! 🎉

Oh, because nothing says “women’s empowerment” quite like a fancy awards show in Brussels, right? 🙄 I guess we just can’t get enough of those “lasting changes” — like a slow-motion train wreck in a three-piece suit!

Oh, look, another award ceremony to pat ourselves on the back for recognizing women who are, surprise surprise, actually doing something! 🎉 Next year’s event should just come with a trophy for best participation, eh? 😏

  18. So, we’re handing out awards for being amazing women leaders now, eh? I suppose next we’ll have a competition for who can hold a cup of tea without spilling it—now that would be a real challenge! ☕️😂

Oh, look, another glittering awards ceremony to remind us that while we’re all busy working hard, some women are busy collecting accolades. 🏆 Honestly, nothing says “I’m making a difference” quite like a fancy dinner and a shiny trophy, right? 🍽️✨
