UK Minister Says Trump Could Bring Putin to the Table

Healey emphasized the ongoing work of the coalition of the willing, alliances supportive of Ukraine committed to ensuring security if a ceasefire occurs. He noted the coalition is “regularly refreshed” to maintain readiness for peace, allowing them to effectively contribute when necessary.

The coalition’s headquarters have been established in Paris, featuring senior British military advisors as part of its operation.

Healey shared these insights after attending a Joint Expeditionary Force meeting in Bodø, where they formalized a new agreement with Ukraine.

Putin remains steadfast following the cancellation of a meeting with Trump in Hungary, leading the U.S. president to impose sanctions on Russia’s top oil firms. This has heightened tensions between the U.S. and Russia, with mutual threats of resuming nuclear weapon tests.

In his latest discussion with Xi Jinping, Trump mentioned that China and the U.S. are collaborating to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, but stated, “sometimes, you have to let them fight.”

If only we had a Euro for every time a politician thought they could play chess with world leaders while barely knowing the rules. 🤔 “Regularly refreshed”? Sounds more like a pub’s happy hour special than a peace strategy! 🍻
