EU Socialists to Expel Slovakia’s Fico’s Party

The Party of European Socialists has decided to permanently expel Slovakia’s Smer party, led by Prime Minister Robert Fico, according to two officials familiar with the matter.

The Socialist party’s leadership made the unanimous decision in a meeting last Thursday, said the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity. The decision requires ratification at a meeting in Amsterdam between October 16 and 18.

This decision follows Fico’s meeting with Vladimir Putin in Moscow in May before Russia’s Victory Day celebrations. Fico also visited Beijing in early September, where he met with China’s Xi Jinping and Belarus’ Alexander Lukashenko.

  1. Looks like Fico’s party has officially been given the boot – must be a new trend in European politics, “one foot in, one foot out,” eh? 😂 Who knew mingling with Vlad and Xi would be such a ticket to the exit?

  2. Oh, brilliant move, kicking Fico out! Who needs a little Eastern European flair in the EU anyway? 🥳 Let’s keep it all nice and boring, shall we?

Just what we needed, another political soap opera – who knew Fico was auditioning for a role in “Dancing with the Dictators”? 🎭 Can’t wait to see the next episode from Amsterdam! 🥳

Looks like Fico’s socializing skills have finally caught up with him—who knew a few cups of tea with Putin and pals could get you kicked out of the Euro club? 😂 Better brush up on those networking skills, mate! 🍻

Looks like Fico’s got more expulsion stamps in his passport than a seasoned tourist! 😂 Let’s hope the next meeting in Amsterdam involves some better company! 🍻

Looks like Fico’s off to join the VIPs of the political outcasts club – maybe he can get a nice group rate on his next visit to Moscow! 😂✈️

  7. Oh, brilliant move! Kicking Fico out is just what we need—who wouldn’t want their party to resemble a high school clique, eh? 😏✌️

  8. Oh, brilliant move! Just what we need, more empty chairs at the socialist table while Fico’s off playing geopolitical hopscotch! 🙄✈️

Looks like Fico’s got a knack for making friends on the wrong side of town, eh? Guess the EU Socialists decided they prefer their parties without a side of Putin and pals. 😂

Looks like Fico’s got the charm of a wet sock at a dinner party 🍷, but hey, who needs friends in Europe when you can cozy up to the Kremlin and the Middle Kingdom, right? 😂

Looks like Fico’s socializing with the wrong crowd finally caught up with him—who knew mingling with the likes of Putin and Xi wasn’t the best way to make friends in the EU? 😂 Guess that’ll teach him that “European unity” has its limits!

Seems like Fico’s got more frequent flyer miles with dictators than with any actual Europeans! 🛫🤷‍♂️ Guess they decided it’s better to stick with the cool kids rather than the ones chatting with Vlad and Xi over tea. 🍵
