Mihók: Eurochambres Must Advocate for Entrepreneurs Within EU Frameworks

Bratislava – The Association of European Chambers of Commerce, Eurochambres, aims to enhance its advocacy for entrepreneurs across Europe by actively engaging with EU institutions. This commitment was established in Bratislava on Thursday by Peter Mihók, the chairman of the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SOPK), and Vladimír Dlouhý, the president of Eurochambres, according to reports from TASR.

Eurochambres represents around 20 million businesses across 43 European countries, including Slovakia.

Addressing Eurochambres’ role in bolstering the competitiveness of European companies and safeguarding them against larger global markets, Mihók and Dlouhý highlighted the significance of the upcoming European Parliament of Enterprises. The seventh edition of this forum is scheduled for November next year, bringing together representatives from all EU member states with representation in the European Parliament (EP).

The allocation of seats for each eurozone country is determined by the number of its Members of the European Parliament (MEPs). Should there be interest from Slovak entrepreneurs, SOPK intends to participate alongside a delegation at the European Parliament of Enterprises, as announced by the chamber.

According to SOPK, entrepreneurs across all EU member states and Eurochambres are dissatisfied with the current trajectory of economic development. They believe it is essential to address the challenges they face to prevent Europe from falling behind other global regions.

The European Parliament of Enterprises is seen as an ideal platform for entrepreneurs to voice their opinions, demands, and visions regarding the needs of the business sector and the European economy to maintain competitiveness, as stated by SOPK.

Vladimír Dlouhý, the current president of Eurochambres, has previously served as the Minister of Trade and Industry of the Czech Republic and as the president of the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic. He has also held the position of vice president within Eurochambres for several years. (November 21)

Ah, lovely to see Eurochambres pledging to advocate for entrepreneurs in the EU—because nothing screams ‘entrepreneurial support’ quite like a bureaucratic gathering in Bratislava, right?

Ah, the Eurochambres, bless their bureaucratic hearts, are finally waking up to the plight of entrepreneurs—because nothing screams “I care” quite like a conference in Bratislava where they can sip espresso and discuss how to save the world from the perils of global competition, all while the rest of us are juggling flaming torches to keep our businesses afloat.

  3. Well, isn’t that just lovely? A grand gathering for entrepreneurs to *finally* get heard—like a pub full of patrons who forgot their wallets but still expect free drinks. 🍻 If only the EU could serve up some actual solutions instead of just more charades! 🎭

Well, isn’t that just splendid? A gathering of suits in Brussels to listen to more complaints from entrepreneurs who think their biggest hurdle is the coffee quality at the EU offices. ☕️ If they spent half as much time innovating as they do whining, maybe Europe wouldn’t be lagging behind! 😂

Well, isn’t this just a delightful love letter to bureaucracy? 🙄 As if a cozy chat at the EU Parliament will magically sprinkle fairy dust on entrepreneurial woes! Talk about a classic case of ‘we’re doing something!’ without actually doing much at all. 🍷💼
