Brussels – The Master’s program in Business Intelligence (BI) at Bucharest Business School (BBS), part of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE), once again included a study visit to Brussels for the second year in a row, aimed at bridging theoretical knowledge with high-level European policy insights.
Romanian students had the unique opportunity to engage directly with influential EU leaders and institutions, gaining firsthand perspective on the strategies that will shape the future of Europe.
Key moments included a discussion at the European Parliament with Vice President Victor Negrescu, as well as a session with Siegfried Mureșan, Vice President of the European People’s Party (EPP) group in the EP, where they examined the strategic priorities for 2025-2026. Other highlights included a visit to the European Economic and Social Committee, informative briefings at the Egmont Institute that concentrated on geopolitical forecasts and EU diplomacy, and insights from the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies.
Students also participated in a forward-looking dialogue on transportation, tourism, sustainability, and EU road transport policy with Filip-Alexandru Negreanu-Arboreanu from the European Commission’s DG – MOVE.
In a world characterized by rapid change, the EU is placing greater emphasis on economic security, defense resilience, and technological independence. From the European Defense Strategy to the Economic Security Strategy, the continent is evidently committed to ensuring long-term stability, fostering innovation, and asserting sovereignty, as noted by the students in a recent online statement from BBS.
