Vilvoorde (Eurotoday) –
The football shirt fair at Asiat Park in Vilvoorde, organised by InnoFoot, brings together 14 vendors offering over 2,000 football shirts. Among the standout items are rare and vintage collector’s pieces, including a shirt made for Belgian football legend Paul Van Himst of Anderlecht. Collectors like Alexander Loos and Robbie Houben use the fair to showcase football culture, memorabilia, and history—with some shirts priced at over €700.
Asiat Park in Vilvoorde, Belgium, has become a focal point for football fans and memorabilia enthusiasts, thanks to this unique fair hosted by local second-hand football apparel retailer InnoFoot. The fair gives visitors the chance to browse, admire, and purchase an extensive variety of football shirts.
Organisers say the fair isn’t just for buying—visitors can also enjoy viewing the collection. InnoFoot was founded by three football-loving friends. One of them, Kobe, shared that the idea began with selling second-hand football gear at youth tournaments. Their mission was to make football gear more affordable.
What began modestly has now grown into a full-scale event, showcasing historic and rare shirts from famous clubs and players. It’s a gathering point for fans and collectors of all ages, celebrating football’s deep cultural roots.
Where can football fans find 2,000+ shirts in Vilvoorde?
The event features 14 independent sellers with a combined offering of over 2,000 football shirts. Some have unique backstories or are linked to football legends. Seller Robbie Houben began collecting shirts during the COVID-19 pandemic and is thrilled to connect with fellow collectors in person through the fair.
One of the fair’s highlights is a rare Anderlecht shirt made for Paul Van Himst, a Belgian football icon.
Organisers say fans view jerseys as more than just athletic wear—they’re pieces of football history, carrying emotional and cultural significance. The fair aims to celebrate that deep connection, not just serve as a market.
“Connections, that’s the only right answer,”
explains stallholder Alexander Loos.
“Sometimes it’s hard to part with certain shirts, but I do keep one now and then. I’ve built up a nice collection myself. It’s also a great way to earn some extra income.”
Collectors are willing to pay hefty prices for some shirts. According to Alexander, a signed shirt with a certificate sells for around €250, but framed and rare items can go for €700 or more. Lars Peters, one of the fairgoers, proudly bought an Anderlecht jersey featuring the Generale Bank logo.
He explained that he not only collects shirts but wears them to games, considering them an extension of his identity as a fan. Young collector Finn Chabert faced a hard decision choosing shirts to buy—relying on his parents to help foot the bill.
But the fair offers more than shopping. Visitors can participate in a football challenge by kicking balls at a target or capture memories at the photo corner. The entire event is free and open to the public until 6 PM.

Oh sure, because what the world really needed was a bunch of blokes in Vilvoorde trading jerseys like they’re rare Picasso paintings. Who knew football shirts could be so… “valuable”? 😂⚽️

Oh great, because what the world really needed was a fair dedicated to 2,000 football shirts—who knew we were all just one jersey short of happiness? 🎉 At least now we can relive all those glorious moments from the comfort of our living rooms… in vintage style, of course! 😂

Oh, brilliant! Nothing says “I’m a serious collector” like spending a small fortune on a shirt that smells like your great-aunt’s attic. 🧦💸 Who knew nostalgia came with a €700 price tag?
