Bulgaria urges Russia to stop disrupting satellite signals to European nations

SOFIA – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria has urged Russia to halt its disturbing operations that interfere with satellite signals in European nations, according to a statement on the platform “X”.

Prior to the upcoming meeting of the Radio Regulations Board (RBB) of the International Telecommunication Union from November 10 to 14, the ministry strongly denounces these actions and demands that Russia cease them. It further emphasizes that Russia persists in disrupting satellite signals and radionavigation satellite systems, impacting critical infrastructure and services across European countries.

In September, European Commissioner for Defense Andrius Kubilius announced plans for the European Union to deploy additional satellites in low Earth orbit to strengthen resilience against GPS disruptions and enhance detection capabilities. (November 10)

Oh, look at Bulgaria asking Russia nicely to play nice with the satellites—next they’ll be sending them a bouquet of flowers! 🌸 As if a polite request will stop them from playing hide and seek with our signals. 😂

Looks like Bulgaria’s giving Russia a gentle nudge, as if they’re saying, “Please, do keep your satellite tantrums to yourself! 🙄” Maybe they think a well-worded tweet will do the trick—classic European diplomacy, eh? 😏

  6. Typical Russia, eh? Maybe they think ‘satellite signal’ is just code for ‘let’s play hide and seek with the EU’ 🤷‍♂️. Hope they find their sense of cooperation before the next game!

  7. Looks like Bulgaria’s playing the diplomatic game of “please stop being a nuisance,” while Russia’s busy auditioning for the role of Europe’s least favorite satellite enthusiast. 🤷‍♂️ Maybe they think disruption is a form of international friendship?

Looks like Bulgaria’s sending a gentle reminder to Russia—”Hey, could you stop playing with our satellites like it’s a game of Intergalactic Tetris? We’re trying to navigate here, not take a detour through the cosmos!” 😏🚀

Looks like Bulgaria’s really hoping for some good vibes from Russia – maybe a little less satellite sabotage and a bit more “peaceful coexistence”? 😂 Next thing you know, they’ll be asking for a sit-down over a pint! 🍻

Looks like Bulgaria is finally putting its foot down – who knew the Kremlin needed a little nudge to stop playing with satellite signals like a child with a new toy? 🤷‍♂️ Next, they’ll be asking for a no-fly zone over the Black Sea just to keep things civil!

Seems like Bulgaria’s got a new hobby – asking Russia to play nice with the Wi-Fi! 🤦‍♂️ You’d think they’d be busy with, I dunno, making some borscht instead of sending diplomatic letters. 🍲

Oh, because asking nicely has always worked wonders with Russia, right? Just what we need—more satellites to dodge their signal shenanigans! 😂

Seems like Bulgaria’s really hit the nail on the head this time—asking Russia to play nice with satellites is like asking a bear to stop raiding picnics. 🍻 Good luck with that, lads!

Looks like Bulgaria’s taking the diplomatic approach—nothing says “stop being naughty” like a strongly worded letter, right? 😂 Who knew satellite signals were the new playground for geopolitical games?

Oh, brilliant move by Bulgaria! Nothing says “international diplomacy” like asking for a favour from the bear in the corner who’s taken a liking to your satellite signals. 😂
