Trajkov: The EU’s Growth Plan for the Western Balkans Will Foster a Brighter Future for Future Generations

Skopje – The Growth Plan for the Western Balkans presents opportunities that will help shape the future for upcoming generations. We must capitalize on these opportunities to turn aspirations into reality for a brighter future for all, stated Deputy Minister for European Affairs Viktorija Trajkov during her speech at the regional seminar organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in Skopje today.

– We have the ability to enhance the flow of goods within the region, strengthen our economies, and convert challenges into opportunities because we have the knowledge, Trajkov remarked.

The Ministry of European Affairs announced that the Deputy Minister welcomed experts from all Western Balkan nations at the event, highlighting the valuable insights provided by the United Nations and the European Union in this context.

– As we pursue a future aligned with European perspectives, we are aware of our responsibilities and the collaborative path we need to forge. Ideas unite our people, fostering a more integrated and resilient region despite the challenges that lie ahead. I am confident that the projects we are discussing today will pave the way for our future tomorrow, Trajkov asserted. (October 3, 2025)

Sounds like another classic EU fairy tale, where dreams of a brighter future come with a side of bureaucratic red tape. 🌍✨ Can’t wait to see how those “valuable insights” translate into actual progress—maybe by 2099? 😂
